The Vehicle Registration System (SIV) registers all the details required for vehicles to circulate and details that may affect their availability.
When a vehicle is withdrawn from circulation or there is an objection to the transfer of the vehicle registration document, it cannot be sold until the vehicle's administrative status has been rectified and updated in the system.
In most cases, the administrative status is updated directly by the competent authority (example: law enforcement bodies, bailiffs, tax authorities).
Notwithstanding, the vehicle owner may need to request a correction in specific cases (example: number plate cloning, transfer not taken into account before registration of a decision, rectification made before imminent sale).
