Some information does not appear on the vehicle registration document (carte grise): address details, middle name, customary name, etc. Even if it is correctly recorded in the SIV application, this is not a mistake.

Since 12 December 2017, French regulations have posed no obstacle, legal or actual, to driving vehicles abroad with a provisional WW series registration.
In accordance with the provisions of the Vienna Convention on international traffic, the international validity of French WWs is therefore subject to the agreement of foreign States.
On 12 December 2017, the decree of 9 February 2009 on vehicle registration was amended to remove any reference to driving in France with respect to provisional registration certificates in the WW series.
Since 2014, the headers of WW series provisional registration certificates has been amended to remove the reference to French (“national”) territory after the words: "Authorises the use of the vehicle during its period of validity".

The confidential code on the letter accompanying your registration certificate allows you to authenticate your identity when using online services (declaration of transfer, etc.).

In theory, yes, you can sell your vehicle with a provisional registration certificate (CPI), but you cannot change the registrant with just the CPI.

In accordance with the provisions of the Highway Code (article R322-1), any owner of a vehicle who wishes to use it on public roads in France must apply to the prefect of the département of their choice for registration, providing proof of identity and residence in France.
