How do I get my vehicle registration document back?
For better processing, please fill out the contact form:
- The vehicle plate number
- The last and first name of the registrant named on the vehicle registration document
- The full address (including any further address information, buildings, residences, apartment #, etc.)
To complete your return request, you can add attachments such as a proof of address less than 6 months old and a copy of the identity document of the person requesting the certificate.
You notice that your vehicle registration document (carte grise) is missing from the envelope you received.
In order to obtain a new vehicle registration document, we recommend that you request a duplicate of your vehicle registration document via the "Making another request about a vehicle" remote procedure.
Select the "Make another request" category, then the in the sub-category “I can't apply for a duplicate using the online procedure”: “I’m having my vehicle registration document reprinted”
In the box headed "Explain your request to the processing department", you can tell the processing department that you are making this request because the certificate was not in the envelope delivered to your home address.
If you are not at home when your letter is delivered, a delivery notice will be left in your mailbox.
You have 15 days to collect your document from the post office. If this deadline has passed, there is nothing you can do. The document will be sent again.
However, if you are going to be away for a longer period, please contact us as soon as you are able to receive your vehicle registration document at home.
