Registering a new vehicle
- The deadline is one month for registering a new vehicle, whether acquired in France or abroad.
- The vehicle registration document identifies the vehicle and allows it to be driven.
- The registrant must hold a licence appropriate to the vehicle, and promises to insure the vehicle or, if this can be provided, the insurance certificate.
Registering a used vehicle
(acquired abroad or without SIV registration)
- The deadline is one month for registering a foreign vehicle or registering a vehicle currently in the old format.
- The vehicle registration document identifies the vehicle and allows it to be driven.
- The registrant must hold a licence appropriate to the vehicle, and provide proof of insurance.
Préparer les documents à fournir
5 documents to provide
- Cerfa form 13750*07 (used to apply for registration, certificate of conformity)
- A valid identity document
- Certificate of conformity issued by the manufacturer or equivalent
- Proof of address less than six months old
- Tax clearance (for vehicles purchased abroad)
If you are doing this for someone else, you will need to provide a power of attorney and proof of identity.

- 1Logging in via France Connect
Once you have logged in to your space with your FranceConnect identifiers:
- Click on the “New Request” button
- Select "Registration",
- Select the "Make another request" service
- 2Start the process
- Enter the vehicle's identification number
- Check the details on the screen and complete if necessary
- Submit the supporting documents
- 3Send the request to be processed by the relevant department
Once the request has been sent to the receiving department for processing, you cannot modify it. You can't delete it either.
- 4Resuming the process for finalisation
- Add supporting documents if necessary
- or pay by credit/debit card to confirm your transaction
- 5Follow the progress in your ANTS space
