Only applications with the status "Application to be completed" and "Application pending payment" can be modified.
Once completed, the request cannot be modified or deleted.
Understanding statuses
- The status "Application to be completed" means that:
- You have put your service "on hold" so that you can return to it later (like a draft)
- The department responsible for processing your application has requested additional supporting documents, which you will need to provide by resuming your application from your account.
- The status "Application pending payment" means that:
- You have not yet paid for your vehicle registration document. The file will remain on hold until payment is made.
- The status "Application currently being analysed by the receiving department” means that:
- Your application has been received and is currently being analysed by the relevant department.

The confidential code is a 5-digit number that you received in the letter accompanying your registration certificate.
If you do not have a France Connect account, you will need one to carry out certain online procedures.
How can I obtain a confidential code if I have lost it?
You can request a new code during the online procedure.
- Start the procedure of your choice by logging on to your user area.
- On the "Getting Started" page, click on "Request a new code".
- Enter the information requested (name, date and place of birth).
When you requested your confidential code, you selected:
- "for myself": The code will be sent to the e-mail address registered in your ANTS account.
- "for someone else": The confidential code will be sent by post to the registrant on the vehicle registration document.
Your request will be put on hold until the code is received.
When you carry out an online procedure, the final "To finish" screen confirms that your application has been recorded.
You can also download the acknowledgement of recording.
Finally, from your dashboard, in your vehicle area, in the "documents" section, you can find the acknowledgement that your application has been recorded.
In the event of loss, theft or damage, you can request a duplicate of your vehicle registration document (carte grise) online using the "Redo my vehicle registration document" online procedure.
