If your vehicle registration document is lost, stolen or damaged, you need to apply for a duplicate.
Only the registrant named on the vehicle registration document is entitled to make the request.
If the vehicle is leased, it is up to the registrant to make the request.

If you are doing this for someone else, you will need to provide a power of attorney and proof of identity.
If the application requires further verification, documents may be requested by the processing department such as:
- in the case of theft, the theft report must be registered with the police (cerfa 13753*04)
- If damaged, the user must keep the document for 5 years
- If lost, cerfa 13753*04 allows you to drive for 1 month
- A valid roadworthiness certificate (if the vehicle is more than 4 years old)
- Proof of address less than six months old

- 1Logging in via an ANTS or FranceConnect account
Once you have logged in to your space:
- Click on the “New Request” button
- Select "Registration",
- Select the request "Have your vehicle registration document reprinted"
- 2Start the process
- Enter the vehicle registration number
- Select whether the vehicle registration document is lost/stolen/damaged
If your vehicle registration document was lost before you put it in your name, you will need to tick the box "The vehicle has been transferred to me but I no longer have the registration certificate to register it in my name"
- 3Confirming the process
- Check the information in the process summary
- Read and tick the legal conditions of use
- Pay by credit or debit card.
- 4Track its progress in your ANTS space
